Girl Scouts Aerospace Badge
Program
The WAI Oshkosh Chapter helps girls earn their Aerospace
Badge through a program organized by the EAA.
The four-hour program will satisfy six or more of the ten
requirements for the Aerospace Badge, and includes a guided tour
through the EAA AirVenture Museum emphasizing the
interrelationships of women, technology, and career
opportunities in aviation. An extended stay option is also
available including an overnight stay in the museum, a scavenger
hunt, and movie.
Chapter
members can also provide guided activities, educational materials from
kite building to an International Space Station Packet, activity
supplies, aviation tours, and more. In addition, troop
leaders can request a Women in Aviation Aerospace Badge kit
to work with troops on their own.
E-mail Betty
Monnett for more details.
Speakers/Mentoring
Chapter members are happy to give presentations to student
groups interested in hosting an aviation related
speaker/activity, or looking for a professional in one of our
fields. Our diverse membership includes pilots, flight
instructors, magazine editors, photographers, web editors,
graphic designers, educators, and business owners, just to name
a few.
