With a great turnout
and even greater enthusiasm, the Oshkosh Chapter held its second
annual Summer Hangar Social on August 21 at Joe and Jeri
Norris’s hangar on Wittman Regional Airport. More than
two-dozen people came, including two teenage girls determined to
become pilots. (We hope the event and our members helped
encourage them even more!) Joe
Norris gave a few rides in his restored Waco UPF-7 biplane, and
John Livingston from the Wisconsin Soaring Society gave a great
presentation on soaring. The event also gave the opportunity for
prospective members to learn more about the organization.
